The ‘Pagru’ lounge chair was designed by Claudio Vagnoni for 1P in 1969. Its sculptural form flows in soft, continuous curves, the seat and backrest merging effortlessly into one another. Bold, undulating lines create a hill-and-valley silhouette, a low-slung profile that exudes ease. The modular design provides versatile arrangement options—transforming effortlessly from a lounging sofa to more intimate, conversational seating. Newly reupholstered in supple wine hued leather with a high-sheen finish. Fabric sample available upon request.
Claudio Vagnoni\'s collaboration with 1P (Primavera del Mobile) marked a significant chapter in the evolution of Italian modernist design. Known for his daring and avant-garde approach, Vagnoni brought a sculptural, organic sensibility to furniture, creating pieces that blended functionality with a bold aesthetic presence.
1P, known for producing high-quality, modernist furniture, was an ideal platform for Vagnoni’s creativity. Their collaboration resulted in iconic pieces like the Pagru Lounge Chair, where the sleek curves and ergonomic form became emblematic of the playful yet sophisticated ethos both Vagnoni and 1P championed. Their work together helped push the boundaries of traditional furniture design, making pieces that were as much art as they were functional, standing out for their comfort and sculptural impact.
