The Mare Moscoviense Necklace is a continuation of The Lunar Regolith and Lunar Seas Necklaces. Where these people carved the lunar seas into a rock using only the naked eye, The Lunar Regolith Necklace imagines what they would have carved into a rock if they had telescopic imagery of the moon, 5,000 years ago. Mare translates to \'sea\' from Latin. The Moscoviense sea is found on the moon, and it has a pattern that is very similar to the undulating hills of a ring fort. This piece marries the past methodology of carving with modern technology.
