This beautiful necklace features prettily granulated 14k gold beads alternating with faceted rich purple amethyst beads. The center is a gold shell shaped element embellished with Etruscan Revival applied wire and bead work and topped with a tiny pearl. The faceted amethyst pendant drop is truly the star of this necklace with its elaborately embellished Etruscan Revival gold cap. The beads are still on their original chain which gives it a really lovely hand feel. 14k, natural amethyst, circa 1900.
Details...The necklace has a wearable length of 16.5\". The pendant drop is 2.25\" long. The largest amethyst beads on the chain are 5.1mm the longer gold beads are 11.4mm x 4.5mm, & the amethyst pendant is 9.1mm at its widest. In Excellent Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
