Astier de Villatte’s Jerusalem candle encompasses a scent which unfolds like a sensory pilgrimage through a city suspended between earth and heaven.
The first impression is one of incense drifting through cool stone interiors, its sacred smoke softening the darker, more mysterious depths of oud, cedarwood and nutmeg.
Then, almost imperceptibly, cypress rises through the composition, bringing a dry, silvery lightness, like air moving through ancient courtyards at dawn. It is a fragrance of reverence and mystery, intimate yet immense.
