This post-war British chest of drawers by Berget of London dates to the 1950s and sits at an interesting crossover point between late Art Deco influence and emerging mid-century design. Raised on tapered astro legs, the form feels light and modern, while the decorative detailing references earlier geometric traditions.

The piece is veneered in teak, with a contrasting maple veneer used to create the geometric banding across the upper drawer. This decorative element is Art Deco in style, a deliberate nod to pre-war design language, reinterpreted within a post-war context.

Configured with three drawers, the chest offers generous storage while maintaining well-balanced proportions. A faint Berget stamp is present on the reverse, consistent with period manufacture, though it is lightly impressed and difficult to read.

The piece remains fully original and has not been structurally altered or refinished.
