Brand new for Fall/Winter \'26 are the Highland Boots, a handsome, slightly-dressy lace up boot made from Shinki horsehide. These are the latest in plain toe boots from Lofgren, striking a great balance of ruggedness and sleekness, making them an easy shoe to both dress up or take outside — form and function. Even still, they lean more in the direction of an old-school work boot, think pre-1950s, but still look absolutely stellar today.

These are made from a beautiful black horsehide leather from the famous Shinki tannery in Japan. Surprisingly soft and comfortable for a horsehide leather, they feature a gentle shine and subtle variations in grain texture across the surface, with a handsome and smooth face that will form tight creases in certain areas as it wears in. This is not a tea-core leather, meaning these shoes are the same color all the way through, making them less prone to contrast when scuffed and heavily worn.

They\'ve got a stellar construction, with precise, high stitch-per-inch upper sewing and a 360 degree storm welt, allowing these to be re-soled and rebuilt by a trusted cobbler after they wear down. They stand on the Vibram 430 outsole and heel, a low-profile \"mini-lug\" outsole that combines comfort and great traction with a sleek design that doesn\'t add any bulk (visual or otherwise) to the bottom of the shoe.
