HOT ! Vintage Elegant 40s/50s Brown Leather Clutch Waldybag Occasion/Evening Bag Bow Clasp and Silk Purse

This vintage Waldybag sold through department store Beards of Cheltenham, is absolutely gorgeous.It\'s an über glamorous slim and elegant clutch bag in a rich dark brown leather and in excellent condition, suitable for smart occasions or evening wear. It is long, slim and elegant with a very pretty bow shaped gilt clasp inset with brown leather, a real statement piece that adds to the elegance of the bag. It\'s made beautifully, with attention to detail, as expected of top end brand Waldybag, a brand worn by royalty, including her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth, as well as having handbags permanently exhibited in the V&A. The clutch bag is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use, some rubbing to the edges and minor age related foxing to some of the brown silk lining resulting in a mottled appearance (please see photos). We think that it has been used, but carefully and very well looked after as the leather to the exterior is in excellent condition apart from the slight rubbing to corners, it is the type of textured EPI leather often found in Louis Vuitton bags. The lining of the bag is fabulous, it is in two side by side compartments one side lined in dark brown silk with matching attached silk coin purse on a gilt chain and the other compartment in oyster silk. There are four gold edged slip pockets. The leather label with Beards of Cheltenham is embossed in gilt on the lining.This is a  really gorgeous Waldybag clutch bag, old school über glamorous, made from top quality materials and from top end brand Waldybag, made in the days of real Hollywood glamour what\'s not to love! A statement piece which would add the wow factor to any outfit, for day or evening wear and could be worn anywhere, however smart.  A fabulous vintage gift for her.
