Detailed information on \"Lounge\" armchair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1970s

First presented in the mid-20th century, the Lounge Chair by Charles and Ray Eames quickly established itself as one of the most accomplished chairs in the history of design. The example offered here, produced by Herman Miller in the 1970s , faithfully reproduces the proportions and quality of manufacture that made the model famous.

Molded plywood frame, carefully fitted veneer, swiveling aluminum base, and independent cushions: each element reflects the Eameses\' pursuit of lasting comfort. The leather has a consistent patina, befitting a piece from this period, with no tears or sagging.

The condition is very good. The foam retains its shape and the veneer is uniform. Some signs of wear are visible, but they enhance the authenticity of this armchair, which was produced over forty years ago.

The armchair measures 81 cm in height , 85 cm in width and 79 cm in depth , proportions designed to offer a supportive and stable seat.

Ideal in a living room, office or reading area, this Lounge Chair remains an icon of American design, sought after for its quality, comfort and history.
